a new place for relaxation

Found a new place where I could spend time to relax and hang out with a very serene ambiance. SM Supermalls and OWWA ( Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) offer services for Overseas Filipino Workers and beneficiaries’ exclusive privileges, discounts and freebies by simply signing up to their Global Pinoy Card.

With my girlfriends, we are so happy that we already found what we were looking for since then, a new hang out place that has an unlimited WIFI internet connection, also they offer free 30 minutes internet browsing using their own computer units. To add up to the pleasure that we’re enjoying would be the free cup of coffee ( black coffee, cappuccino, coffee late) or iced tea and the incessant time of recompense to our membership fee which was only 150.00 pesos for the whole two years of being a member.

It is of big help for us who are frugal to spend, so why not grab the opportunity while there’s still free?

Hinanaing galore ( my sentiments)

I already discern the good courier company who deliver or give good turns to their clients. I have tried 3 big courier companies here in the city, but nothing beats LBC services. Although they have restrictions to follow in accepting stuffs to deliver like jewelries and mind you people watches are considered jewelry so they won’t accept it, only if you would honestly declare the content.

In particular, the services they offer are far better than the others, and among those three big companies ( I would say big since they are the leading courier companies who are competing in the country),LBC is more reliable in view of the fact that they contacted me with regards to the status of my package whenever I am not around or nobody will receive my package on the date of delivery.

What moves my heart with their services was the fact that when I requested a special delivery on the following day, right after an hour from my call, the stuff was delivered immediately at my doorstep, while others are giving me headache to let me personally get my stuff at their offices which I hate most.

I am not endorsing the courier company; however, I am just disappointed with the services that others were giving to their customers.

Above all, I am still thankful because the stuffs were delivered completely and remain undamaged though it came from the different parts of the globe then sent through our local courier.

The beauty of nature

Family, friends and readers who gave time and effort to view and visit my blog once in a while, I would like to introduce to you our one of a kind exemplar of mother nature the “ Tinuy-an Falls” !

It is said to be the little Niagara Falls of the Philippines, the widest waterfall in the Philippines and many to mention the numerous superlative adjectives to describe the Tinuy-an Falls.

Tinuy-an word comes from a Cebuano word tinuyuan which means in English  intent. According to our local government officials, going to Tinuy-an Falls compels willpower and intent to see the beauty and splendid nature that the Falls has to offer.

It is our pleasure as Bisliganons to offer such an adventure that at the end of the road you would be able to see a very fascinating and relaxing beauty of nature that is worth the travel for 1 hour on a rough and hilly road.

My personalized background vindicates everything that I said. I am hoping that this will be preserved and shared on to our next generations.

Insomnia

My insomnia strikes again for the first time in three months. My mind was so busy rewinding and fast forwarding on my presumptions in life with my eyes closed but fully conscious. It feels like I am dreaming while I’m awake, and I hate it when I am having insomnia because it would just end up having the feeling of excruciating headache with dark eye bags on.

So what I did to make that sleepless night worth it, I did movie marathon until I fall asleep at around 5.30 in the morning…zzzzz 

my passion...

I have this passion of cooking, from pastries to main dishes since then. I usually make my own version of different dishes and sometimes invent, in short I don’t follow recipes with those measurements to mind since I only have the basic kitchen utensils and apparatus to utilize.

I always volunteer myself to cook when I go somewhere where I would have the chance to cook, not because I don’t like the taste of the food served but sometimes I do… ^_^ Of course my taste buds always crave for my own style and way of cooking in which I enjoyed sharing it to my family and friends too.

I am looking forward to study in a culinary school to improve my skills. ^_^

The feeling of shame…

I can’t figure out why people have this feeling of shame when someone laughs at them with their questions. Sometimes it hurts when they realized that the one laughing at them is the one they expected to understand yet laugh with arrogance in the presence of other people.

Why they have that feeling of belittle when they know that other people is around when it happens? What is the difference between two people talking alone and two people talking with the presence of other people? Why there is an impact of being shamed?

Is it bad to ask of things that are beyond the level of their innocence? Haven’t they have the right to ask when their brain falls down? How insensitive of them to take in someone’s obtuse?

run for a cause...

December 12, 2010 at 5:00 in the morning, was my first time to attend a fun run together with my friends, and I was so excited to join the said activity because that was my first fitness exercise way back 2006. Even though I have not had enough sleep but still I woke up as early as 3:30 in the morning for me to prepare and be in the meeting place on time.

Doing exercise is the best way to stay healthy and fit, to my mind, running is the best among the exercises since your body moves without exerting more effort. No need for you to carry equipments to expel sweat from your body because the exercise itself makes it do so.

I am looking forward to join again a fun run, because I did enjoy running together with the participants without any rules to obey. We have all the freedom to run and when to stop, when we get tired and talk at the same time and most of all it is not only ourselves who benefited the activity but also all the money that we paid were all for a cause and I know that many people will be very happy and blessed receiving those gifts that we shared.

It is perfect since it is Holiday season, so this time is the best way for people to share their blessings in any way as possible to give joy and laughter to the needy.

lesson learned

I have been writing blogs from a friend’s assignment for more than a month, it just turned out nothing since we were required to write a total of 300 blogs for a period of one and a half a month. At first, we were so excited to write together with my girlfriends since it was our first time to work as a blogger.

The topics were nice and easy to write about, however, in the middle of writing we run out of ideas since almost all the keywords given were all the same with a little of variations. I cannot imagine writing 19 blogs with only one keyword to write and found out that it was so draining.

We were trying our best to do it with the effort of learning and earning at the same time. Nevertheless, we’ve been so pushy with ourselves to reach our goal and then time comes that my friends realized that it’s not worth the work since we were only paid a penny for each blog. Isn’t it a slap on our face? We were using our brains and intellect for others interest but the return is not that worth it to worked hard for?

To my mind, there are times that we should not think of the reward but the outcome that is worth the prize. Even though other members stopped for the reason that it’s not worth of their time and effort but still I am looking forward to finish my part for we concord the arrangement we made between us and our employer. Next time we will make sure that every move we make is worth the sweat we endure and for this experience, it is considered a lesson learned.

Praying on to something does not mean that all that you prayed for will be granted. God always answer all our prayers in many ways…

When we pray, we always want to have a positive answer; however, God does not allow it to happen at all times. Indeed He answers our prayers but it is yes, no and wait.

Yes, when He knows that what we prayed for is for our own good and that could make us a better person according to His plan. No, when He knows that it is not good for us and that it will bring or give us harm. Lastly, wait, because God knows when is the right time for Him to give what we asked for.

There are times that we could say, God does not listen to us because He did not satisfy us but the truth is He answered everything and yet we can’t feel it because what He gave us is what we do not want. It is just that God wants us to wait for the right time and the right place for it to happen.

To my mind, I would say that it is us who gave problems to ourselves because we always want to have everything in just a click without thinking that there is God who knows better than us.

under pressure

Pressure...that's what most people experience when something needs to be done right at the moment.

Sometimes i feel like i am born to work under pressure, because my mind will only exert effort when I am under pressure OR otherwise i would end up doing nothing.

This past few days, I had blank stares on what to do to make my day productive. Today here comes the pressure, a friend gave me some pressure that compels me to do things as fast as i can. I can't believe I finished my assignments in less than an hour and thank God for that.

Vegan diet? What’s with this diet that is different from any other diets? Well, it’s one of the good eating habit that could help you become fit and in shape.

Vegan diet is an eating habit that only raw vegetables and fruits were consumed and eliminates all animal products. This diet is good to all who wants to get fit and physically in shape. When we say purely raw vegetable and fruits, it’s all about veggies and fruits with the absence of animal-derived products from foods to merchandises.

Talking about our primeval days, most natives happened to eat raw foods before the discovery of fire, and from then they were so healthy and reached the ages of more or less a hundred years old. The reason behind all of those was the complete nutrients, vitamins and minerals that they got from raw foods. Comparing to the present-day people, majority of them are relying on to the cooked or processed foods in which they believed to be healthier, without noticing the nutrients that are cart off during the process that is why more and more are suffering from ailments as young as they are.

Being a vegetarian depends on the religion, tradition and culture a person could be because some are into veganism because they were compelled for the sake of beliefs and health, so everyone are respected in a way they were raised to be.

Raw vegetables and fruits has its contents that meats and dairy products have the same like protein, carbohydrates and etc. so why worry about the deficient consumption of raw vegetables when in fact it is complete and very healthy with the aid of working out at the same time to stay fit and healthy. I had a wonderful night with cousin-in-law's abode. It's my first time to be with them for a lengthy time since I usually go there very seldom only if my husband would visit them. More often than not, we would only visit their place for the reason that their grandparents where here in the city or otherwise they have no grounds to drop in.

For a long time, I was only observing the family's approach to each and every one, and I discern the way they treat each other.They have their own conviction that each of them couldn't give just a piece of understanding and indulgent as their haughtiness reign.

For the first time I and my cousin have had a long talk that lasted for hours and we didn't even realize the depth of the night. In the middle of our conversation, I
discovered the bright side of her because I always hear criticisms and opposite feedback about her or the one-sided story. And now I have a clear thought that hearing both sides of the story is better before concluding on to something.

In my opinion, sometimes life is unfair, because many people would only see the outer side or the physical outlook of a person rather than the inside, and when someone can make mistake for once is considered to be what he/she is obliterating the countless good deeds he/she did.

We can't deny the fact that every family has its own culture and tradition that they lived for that is why each has its own views and opinions. It is up to us who would adjust and understand them the way they are and the way they were raised by their family.

Being the mediocre in a family having two different views and opinions, beliefs and traditions are exquisite for me to become a better person in which I know how to adjust or where would I situate myself when I am with them since I also came from a unique family like them.

simple happiness

What am i going to write?

Hmmm..my mind is teeming with so many thoughts and topics on what to write down that ended on to nothing to put to writing.

However,my thoughts came up with the idea of writing something, and that is to write about the solitary happiness that everyone could ever experience.

To my mind, I am always looking forward to watch the morning television show from ABS-CBN's "Showtime". It is a variety show that showcases different talents from all walks of life that gives opportunity to every individual or group of Filipino people to exhibit their talent, creativity and intelligence to the viewers. Also, I am prompt to witness the out of nowhere judge's sample talents that most audiences yell every day before they give their comments to the first challenger. Lastly, I am constantly delighted to Vice Ganda, one of the judges, to hear his unique comments and opinions to the performance of the competitors,in his way of delivering it through a spontaneous jokes that could make me smile and laugh out loud at all times.

By all means, I could say that happiness is a matter of choice and a solitary feeling that is felt in many ways an individual would allow it to be that way.
Being happy doesn't mean that I have to be in an expensive place or event to be elated but by just sitting down on my couch and hearing those cliched jokes that could make my mouth widened out up to my ears is enough to feel that I am happy.

Whatever the situation I may experienced as an individual, it's up to me to decide whether I'll be happy or sad in spite of my situation.

first time

It was a bit odd to do things like this because I am not a good writer, but I will try my best to make a good writing out of nothing for the sake of something that would make my life better.

I have the inclination to do blogging but my capacity to write always holds me back. However time flies and I realized that there is no harm in trying on to something that my heart dictates me to do so.
